Trouble With XFree86. It wont boot properly

hi

i just started XF86 for the fisrt time, and i got this error;

"A crash occured in the panel
Please report this to the xfce4-dev@moongroups.com
Meanwhile the panel will be restarted"

then i press "okay" and the same message appears again.

I can't reboot, because ctrl+alt+del doesn't work.

is it safe just to shut it down and reboot via "the button"??

EDIT: I have olny installed with one CD. do i have to use both if it should work?

this was no.3 b back soon again

Tried using a different window-manager?

This doesn't look like a X-problem, but rather
like a xfce (window manager) problem...
