Cool the most basic install....

What package groups are absolutly needed to have a most basic Slack install. I am talking really small, just CLI, mounting cd's and networking.

I have come across some P1 pc's and would like to set up a kind've grid in my house. One pc for web and DNS, another for email, and maybe another for fileserver.

I did a search on this but did not find anything, if I missed an earlier post please point me in the correct direction.

Sincerely,

Danielallan

You could always just install everything in the 'a' software set... and for networking, the 'n' software set.

After you are done, see if what you need the box to do can be done, then remove extra bloat that does not break the system.

I'm sure this is LESS than what you want, but minimal insrtall questions are always 'the absolute minimum PLUS something' this is the absolute minimu without breaking any packages or hacking anything.
http://amigolinux.org/docs/minstall/index.htm will give you more info on other more reasonable minimums.
