suspend/resume uefi boot black screen on reboot

Using slackware64-current. On my AMD ryzen5 2400G motherboard (asus 450 something) the suspend works, but then the resume gives only a black screen with no response to keyboard or mouse.
I am posting from another computer.

I posted here because I suspect the UEFI folder is misnamed. It is "slackware" instead of "Slackware" at /boot/efi/EFI/slackware. I may also have the "resume=/dev/nvme0n1p4" parameter wrong.
dmesg shows:
Code:
Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=dev000:\EFI\Slackware\vmlinuz-generic-5.14.9 root=\dev\nvmexxxxx vga=normal ro resume=/dev/nvme0n1p4 ro
Unknown command line parameters: BOOT_IMAGE=BOOT_IMAGE=dev000:\EFI\Slackware\vmlinuz-generic-5.14.9 vga=normal
The other thing I note is that the /var/log/messages makes reference to "Successfully activated service 'org.freedesktop.UPower' and then a command for org_kde_powerdevil. Later, I see that "Activating service 'org.kde.runners.baloo' failed ... exited with status 255"

For now, I am just using the monitor blanking and no sleep, suspend, or resume.
Thanks

Do you use an initrd ? How do you build it ?
I suggest you look in this direction too.

Boot parameters to give suspend/resume device and initrd.

As addition, is your swap on ?
