Source Code DVD

I am considering using Slackware to get away from systemd. I am currently running LinuxMint 17 LTS. I have some command line experience. I went to Torrent for Slackware 14.1, 64-bit x86_64 and was confused by "(Includes everything except for source code -- see the Slackware 14.1 source code DVD ISO above for source code)" Never ran into this issue before. How do I go about the install? Which disk do I install? Both? if so, which one first?

If your system has a DVD, then you can install a full system by just downloading the "Slackware 14.1 x86 DVD ISO (Includes everything except for source code) " disc. If you're interested in compiling your own source code and installing it that way, then you'll want the source DVD as well. If you can't boot off the DVD, then you'll need the 4 CDROM .iso torrents to get the system installed. Same rule applies for the CDROM source discs.

Personally, I use the DVD non-source code disc when building all of my Slackware machines, and I have been very happy with the delivered system! Good luck and welcome to Slackware (The Way Linux Should Be).
