Slak9 won`t install from cd.
I downloaded Slak9 with dialup and had it working great.
I decided to save it on a cdr as it is last all 386 version. Setup won`t install from cdr. It sees the "a" directory but not the others? Can`t access media I`m told. If I go to /var/log/mount/Slackware I can see all the directories and packages. If I install "a" from another partition it works fine. Downloaded fresh set of "a" packages and boot/install disks and reburned twice(on cdrw). Same result. Used several computers with same result. Any ideas? |
Are you burning it as an ISO or just burning it straight to the cd? I've seen this mistake many times.
Also, did you actually download the Slack install disk1 ISO? Check the md5sum to make sure the download isn't being corrupted. What happens when you boot from the cd? What error messages are you seeing? |
I downloaded the packages from os and set up
"cd" on my w98. As I said the error message is "can`t access media". Yet when I transfer "media" to another partition it loads ok. |
