Slackware on TabletPC
I have been trying to get my Acer TravelMate C110 to work with Slackware 9.1 but my efforts have been frustrated when it came to getting the pen (wacom based) to work. I have been working on installing and comfiguring everything needed to make the pen work based on http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/ documentation and have been unsucesful. Dose anyone have any ideas on how toget this to work? I will followup with a post on the specific problems I'm having as well as some details about my system.

There's a lot you can do. Basically you have to tell your system where is the wacom tablet (try with setserial /dev/ttyS0 port 0x06f8 irq 6 autoconfig). At this point, check if it works with wacdump -f c100 /dev/ttyS0.
I have a C112, debian powered, and I didn't manage to make it work yet. I suppose there's a little mess under here, 'cause my linuxtells me there no serial at that I/O ( but there is, really, I made it work with Suse once). In any case, there's a good thread at http://www.tabletpcbuzz.com/forum/to...TOPIC_ID=22128 |
I am interested in trying to get Linux working on my Tablet (GoBook) see thread in hardware but I have not got together enough information to begin to tackle the issue. Have you found anyone who knows how to tackle this issue?

Vizion - stop reposting this question randomly around LQ. You should concentrate on your other opened thread. This one is closed.
BTW - http://www.google.com/linux?q=tablet...=&start=0&sa=N may be a good start point for you. You could also try posting up some of the steps you have taken. |
