OK. Assuming you have all the boot files present on the EFI partition, you can easily create a simple elilo.conf file manually. Here's a sample that I used on an EFI laptop recently:
Code:
chooser=simple
delay=10
timeout=50
#
#
image=vmlinuz-generic-4.4.227
label=vmlinuz-generic-4.4.227
initrd=initrd-4.4.227.gz
read-only
append="root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 ro"
Just adjust for your kernel version and root device.
Note: Some EFI systems I've encountered won't recognize the elilo binary without renaming it. If you're sure you've got all the necessary files on the EFI partition, and still can't boot, try making a copy of "elilo-x86_64.efi" with the name "bootx64.efi" (On some systems, this is the only file-name that will work.)
