Slackware 13.1 Hardware Raid

Is it possible to do a hardware Raid install?

Short answer: yes.
Linux will see HW RAID as a single HDD and treat it as any old disk.
If you have on board RAID that uses a special driver, then the answer is: depends. If it is a supported type then yes. However, you are usually better off switching RAID options off in bios and using linux software RAID (which typically has better performance).

Yes it is.
Just installed slackware64-13.1 on a HP Proliant DL180-G6 last Saturday and it went very smooth.
