Short answer: yes.
Linux will see HW RAID as a single HDD and treat it as any old disk.
If you have on board RAID that uses a special driver, then the answer is: depends. If it is a supported type then yes. However, you are usually better off switching RAID options off in bios and using linux software RAID (which typically has better performance).
