Slackware 11 on Asus F3JC

Hi Guys,

I've been having all sorts of issues tring to install Slackware 11 on an Asus F3JC.

I have read many guides but none relate to slackware. Just wanted to know if there were any Slackers out there that have got this installed successfully with everything working as i know with other distro's this works perfectly fine.

My system is currently installed with slackware 11 with kernel 2.6.19.2 and at the momement I have sound working (alsa 1.14rc1 installed) and the gigabit lan working, I kinda of have the wireless working but this is very tempermetal as it would be up and would sometimes just drop off and it gets picked up as eth1 instead of wlan0.

Everything else looks ok, just need this one last part working. If anyone has done this please let me know what else was required. Thanks.

Edit: lspci

have you upgraded to the kernel 2.6.19.x as this has a lot more support for the hardware.
Whats not working and ill help you out. I don't have the config file on me so wait till i get home and ill link it for you.

But still having issues with the wireless.

@phos
I'm using the intel drivers from http://ipw3945.sourceforge.net/ it was working but now it doesn't come on. Not sure if the wireless on/off switch effects this or not.

that's what i'm trying to do.

but curiossly my laptop hardware worked just fine and smooth using ubuntu 6.10 or 7.04 so it must be some configuration problem and i think the key to that is in .config of the kernel
