Slackware 11.0 DVD could not find kernel image

After waiting patiently and fetching the renowned Slackware 11.0 DVD using BitTorrent, burning it, and booting off it, I get stuck at the boot loader prompt with your standard:

Could not find kernel image: linux
boot:

And can't seem to satisfy the prompt's request for the location of a kernel.

I've looked around and can't seem to find any further instructions for booting off a slack dvd in this situation. I was under the impression that the installation application would simply load upon reboot with the disc in the drive.

Is there something I'm supposed to do with the slackware-11.0-install-dvd.iso file before burning it? I'm using Nero Express under WinXP to create the dvd, is this not possible perhaps?

Did you press the function keys <F2> and <F3> as suggested in the welcome screen (I assume you do see the Slackware welcome screen when you boot from that DVD)?

No, I do not get a welcome screen. I get exactly the following:

ISOLINUX 2.13 2004-12-14 Copyright (C) 1994-2004 H. Peter Annin
Could not find kernel image: linux
boot:

and that is where I'm stuck. No splash screen, no list of "Press <F2>/<F3> for further options...", etc. I've just discovered that I cannot open or view any of the files in the isolinux directory of the dvd-rom while I'm in Windows. I'm wondering if my .iso file is corrupted or incomplete.

Any help or suggestions for further reading would be appreciated . TIA

Hi,

Did you do a md5sum check for the download?
