Slackware 10 install problem.

I have been running Slack 9.1 on my Toshiba Laptop without issue for quite some time. I wanted to do a fresh insall with Slack 10. After the initial setup Slack tries to install/copy packages to my HDD and an error pops up unable to install package I can't remember the exact message but several attempts fail. I have re-downloaded the ISO's thinking it was a bad CDR but still the same error. Just for ha ha's I skipped that package to go to the next and the same problem happens. I proceeded to skip about 30 or so packages with the same error. Has there been some package integrity issue I am unaware of? If possible, I will retry tonight and post exact error message output.

Are the md5sums ok for the ISOs you downloaded? There should be no reason to download them again if they are ok.

I had the same thing happen to me - my disks were bought direct from Slackware. SuSE installed without problems. I'd be interested to hear of any solutions.

Probably a buggy 'setup' on the install disk. Try booting using your 9.1 CD. Then mount the Slack 10 CD on /mnt and run 'setup'.
