Slackware 10.0: Error message after giving startx command

I just installed Slackware 10.0 and am trying to start KDE, but when I give the startx command, the text goes away and a screen with a little x shaped cursor comes up for a few seconds and then a grey screen comes up with a normal cursor and a little window that says "cannot start kdeinit, check your installation." I click okay and get sent back to the text mode. What do I do?

Did you run 'xorgsetup' or 'xorgconfig'?
