quick question
 

sorry if this is a bit of a newb question but I'm just wondering if anybody has some good resources on dualbooting vista and slack 12. I just want to read up before I start. thanks in advance.

It's no different from dual booting any other distro (although I'm on XP, not Vista). I simply use a grub setup with multiple hard drives and you'll find plenty of howtos in these lists

You could look at 'BackTrack v2.0 and MS Vista, Create Dual Boot Guide' as a general guide. The technique is for 'BackTrack' but you can use the guide to do a dual boot for anything.

Another would be 'Dual-Boot Linux and Windows 2000/Windows XP with GRUB HOWTO' if you want grub. Sure for XP but applicable.
