[SOLVED] No harddisk detected?

Installing a fresh 13.0 32bit version of slackware.

Specs:

Motherboard: Asus P4P800S SE
CPU: Pentium 4 x86
Mem: 1 GB DDR 400Mhz
Harddisk: WD 200 GB on SATA1
2 dvd-drives on IDE

Booting dvd, logged in as root: cfdisk only gets read-only access to what appears to be the installation DVD ( about 4GB size ). No HDD detected whatsoever.

What did i miss? I haven't got a 13.1 dvd available at the moment, since the libata switchover did change something in 13.1.. or do I need some special commands to have the hdd detected? The machines bios is probably not the latest, but that shouldn't help much would it?

(PS: WinXP ran for years in this exact setup)

That happens if you only run cfdisk, run cfdisk /dev/sda instead.
