My pulseaudio suddenly can not start
 

Dear Slackers...

My PulseAudio suddenly does not work. After following these threads but still my pulseaudio does not work:

So I remove my pulseaudio and re-install it using "slapt-get".

But my pulseaudio still does not work, as follows:
"
bash-4.3$ pulseaudio --start
E: [pulseaudio] main.c: Daemon startup failed.

".

Would anybody be so nice giving me suggestions?

What version of Slackware are you running? I have never had a need to start pulse audio manually. It starts when you fire up any audio program.

Post 4 on the link you posted; have you made sure things are set as posted there?

If you open Audacious, or Mplayer, and try to play a /mp3 file, do you get sound? If yes, pulse is just fine.
