hi there,
humm..this depend on which kind of server.. email, http, files , ... you need to elaborate a bit more... regards, slackie1000 |
http,mysql,ftp,email,files,ssh
i guess it would be like hosting server :) so i'd need GD and other libs |
hi there,
slackware requires previous knowledge if you want to tweak the install... there is no dependency and checks and system beeps to alert you that you are screwing your system... you can always get the packages one by one... if you didn't yet, i suggest that you write everything that you need down and perform a fully custom slackware installation... attention with libraries... the packages are not the big deal but when you go to "L" you need to be sure that you selected all the libraries required... may the force be with you.. ;) regards, slackie10000 [edit] btw, you can always get the packages list - for a server install - from someone.. but this won't avoid the manual selection .... |

hi there,
sorry.. "slackware" for me is everything that comes from slackware.com ... of course, there is swaret, like many others.. but i would not risk the slackware stability running third dependency checkers.. just my :twocents: regards, slackie1000 |
