I have an HP 6545C that I got used from some friends. The hard drive was going out so I put in a new one. Both jumpers were set so that it would be the master drive.
I got my discs for 10.2 last night (the power was out due to a storm last night) so I'm attempting the install now. But I keep getting a kernel panic message that reads as follows:
Code:
Code: 0f 0b 2f 03 bf 6d 2d c0 8b 12 81 fa 84 ac 31 c0 75 d3 8d 43
<0>Kernel panic: Attempted to kill the idle task!
In idle task - not syncing
Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks!
[edit: Nevermind... I think... I tried again and it started up fine. Don't know what it was the first couple times (got that message more than once). It's doing the install now.... But if you have any idea what that was, I'd like to know anyway.]
