Kernel panic: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

once again i have another problem with slack. after i installed it, and the setup said i was done, i took out the disk, and rebooted. as it was starting up, this message came up

Kernel panic: no init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

i have a feeling it has to do with how i installed lilo, any suggestions?

ok let me try to explain this i kind of forgot

when you're installing slack and you get to the part it asks about what you want to do with lilo, manually configure it (i think that's what it is, either that or professional install), and it will ask where lilo should boot from, the "/" partition or the "/boot" partition
