Kernel panic: No init found?
Hello, I am trying to currently install Slackware 11 on my laptop. However, whenever I try to get past the first part of the installer (choosing the kernel), I get an error message saying:
Quote:
Kernel panic: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

Here are the last few messages (in case they are of any help):
Quote:
EXT2-fs error (device ramdisk(1,0)): ext2_check_page: bad entry in directory #443: rec_len is smaller than minimal - offset=0, inode=0, rec_len=0, name_len=0
EXT2-fs error (device ramdisk(1,0)): ext2_check_page: bad entry in directory #351: rec_len is smaller than minimal - offset=1024, inode=0, rec_len=0, name_len=0

There is something wrong with your initrd.img file. Exactly what, I cannot say. Looks like corruption, based on the error messages.

Ah, I'll try creating a new .iso with a correct initrd.img file then. I'll report back with the results.

Ah, yes it seemed to be a corrupt initrd.img file. I'm installing it right now, cheers!
