Kaby Lake and EFI boot

I finally received my new kaby lake system yesterday, but I immediately ran into problems installing it. Maybe somebody has a tip for me.

The USB stick with the Slackware image is detected properly and grub starts. However, when I choose to boot slackware i get a massage saying: "Loading Huge.s and initrd. Please wait...". The system hangs there...

Tonight I will try to use my official DVD and if that doesn't work I will try to install in legacy mode.

Have any of you seen this symptom before?

Mel

after booting in legacy mode the boot was ok.

used a bootable cd to install grub in efi mode afterwards.
