Installing Slackware through iso's on hard drive

Hello, I am getting closer to finally installing Slackware. I have the partition made for Slackware and have the first disc on LiveUSB. I try to go through setup, but I get hung up on the source media portion. I tried using the mount command, but was unsuccessful.
my iso's are in my /dev/sda5 partition in /home/jimmy and the partition that is for Slackware is dev/sda7. Earlier I tried to install through Disc 1 on the USB, but after running update-grub, I can't go into Slackware.

Thanks

Why are you making it yourself so difficult? Use the USB-boot image, you can find it on the mirrors. Then get yourself a copy of the complete package-repository on your already installed system:
Code:
mkdir slackware
cd slackware
wget -r http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/slackware/slackware-13.37/slackware/
Now, when installing choose the "Mirror on a partition" (or similar) option.

Try to extract files from the iso images to a directory.

Okay, before looking at the suggestions I chose the USB stick partition (which had the Disc 1 iso) as the source media. After I did that, it went through installation. I decided to skip installing LILO because I have GRUB. I went into Ubuntu and ran the update-grub command. Grub now recognizes Slackware, but Slackware shows up four time (on the same partition /dev/sda7). When trying to boot Slackware through GRUB, it gets hung up. I saw something that said "Kernel panic" and maybe something about not being able to mount. Also, I'm trying to run it on a netbook and the CAPS lock key keeps blinking during the hangup. There was data displayed that I don't know how to interpret.

Thanks for the input all.

32 bit Slackware by default installs 4 kernels:
- huge
- huge-smp
- generic
- generic-smp

The generic kernels will not work unless you have generated an initrd. So for your first boot you have to choose one of the huge kernels (smp for Hyperthreading/multi-core CPUs, the normal one for single-core CPUs without Hyperthreading.
