I'm thinking of using 3 logical partitions for my slackware linux, linux swap, and my /home directory. Are there any reasons why I couldn't or wouldn't want to do this?

I'll be running Apache & also using it as a print server if that's possible, as well as in other capacities as a server. My Windows is the desktop version.
There are very few reasons for not using logical partitions, one of most obvious is if losing some KiB of disk space is critical for you. Another one is if you like the partitions be defined directly in the MBR
