Install Slackware with a Gentoo LiveCD?

OK, here's the deal, I wanna try to get Slackware running on my Xbox, and I can't do a cross install (Where you take the Xbox drive out stick it in a PC, install the Linux distro and compile an Xbox kernel, stick the drive back in the Xbox and boot) because I have a bet with a friend that if I can keep my PC running without a reboot for 40 days, he will try Linux.

So, my question is: Is there a way to use a Gentoo LiveCD (There is a such one for the Xbox) to install Slackware (I don't mind doing it manually, I'm pretty good with the tar command, and commands in general) ???

Maybe I could mount a NFS share, that contained the Slackware installer over the network, chroot to it and kind of do an oddball network install of Slackware.

I don't have an xbox so i'm not to sure if this will work. I'm guessing that it will boot as normal from any bootable cd that you put in its drive.

On your PC compile the kernel for the xbox. Then add this to the slackware iso. Burn this to a disk, put it in the xbox and boot it. When you get to the first bit where you choose which kernel to use pick the xbox one and then continue as normal.

Nope it won't, when using the replacement BIOS (Which is really just a bootloader in ROM form) for it, it will look for linuxboot.cfg on the CD which specifies what kernel to boot....

Now that sounds like something that's do-able, the only thing I need is to write a linuxboot.cfg file for the Slackware installation.

A typical one looks like this:

kernel boot/bzImage
append root=/dev/hda1 splash=silent kbd-reset video=xbox:640x480,nohwcursor devfs=mount acpi=hw

So what I'll need is just what parameters the iso bootloader passes along to the kernel. And if I need to set some special kernel configuration to be able to use it for the installation.
