Install slackware 13.37 on MacBook Pro w/o Mac OS
I am trying to install Slackware 13.37 on a MacBook Pro. I want to boot from the slackware cd without using the Mac OS at all. I cannot get the Macbook to recognize the cd as bootable. I've done this will lots of PCs.
I am re-configuring the laptop for use in a class I am teaching. It was donated, but I don't know the passwords of the donor. In fact, the first thing I want to do is dd the disk so that all info (including Mac OS) is erased. |
This article may help. I have no way of testing it.
http://straightedgelinux.com/blog/ho...e_install.html It also offers hints on how to blow away the existing Mac partitions. |
