IDE RAID-1 Setup; LILO error

I'm not currently in front of the system in question, so excuse me if some of the details are less than complete.

I have tried setting up an IDE Raid-1 system using the instructions found at slacksite and have made some good headway.

Currently, I have both disks partitioned the same and all the files of one copied to the other. As such, by adjusting my lilo.conf and fstab, I can boot into either disk seperately.

However, when I try set lilo.conf and fstab to use the mdX devices it doesn't boot and gives me the wonderful 99999999.... message. I'll need to see the message again to see what "L, LI" code it gives and maybe that will give some clue as to my problem.

Does anyone have a Raid-1 setup and wouldn't mind posting their lilo.conf and fstab files? (mostly the lilo.conf). Maybe that will be a good starting point for me.

Thanks!

Well, this raid-1 experiment isn't getting anywhere for me. It's either off to RedHat or scrapping the idea all together.

I had to go to Fedora to get RAID installed on my machine. Too bad, I was looking forward to working my way through Slackware.
