Welcome to LQ Did you check the md5sums? Are you certain that your download is fine? I recommend burning iso files at the slowest possible speed, or at least 4x. Have you tried the disk in another machine?

( Athlon XP 2000+ , ASROCK K7VT4A+ VIA KT400a , Soundblaster PCI 64 , ATI Radeon 9700 Pro , 768 MB Ram )
and it works fine ...

I have one hard disk for testing software .
When I want to test a new linux , then I use this hard disk , it is IDE .
So try to install it on 2 computer , but it was the same hard disk ...
