Question Get rid of Grub on MBR

I just installed the latest Slackware on a machine I previously used for RedHat 9
At the installation point of LILO i chose to put it on the root partition /dev/sda2 (as it is a SCSI Drive)

At reboot I have a Grub prompt showin up, which I gues is a remainder of rh9.

Question: How do I get rid of Grub on the MBR or move Lilo to the MBR from the Slackware Disk 1 without going through the whole Software installation again?

Boot with CD1, at lilo's boot: prompt type: scsi.s (or the kernel you need) root=/dev/sda2
You should've booted on your current installation. Once there, run /sbin/liloconfig
When asked, choose Expert Mode, and install to MBR.

Thank you very much

This pushed me in the right direction.
I had to pass additionally noinitrd rc in order to boot into my installation.

Well I look at it in a totally different way.

At Grub prompt I can boot Slackware either

indrectly by typing

root (hd0,1)
chainloader +1
boot

or directly by typing

root (hd0,1)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz root=/dev/sda2 ro
boot

Once I get inside Slackware I duplicate Lilo into the MBR by typing

lilo -b /dev/sda

Easy piece!

Grub prompt is the most lethal weapon in booting as it can boot any PC system, be it a DOS, Windows, BSD, Solaris and of course any Linux!
