Error in Windows making iso with mkisofs
Hi All,
I downloaded from a mirror everything in slackware-current and got the Windows command line version of mkisofs. When attempting to run it, I receive the following error after it scans a bunch of directories: Using MOZIL001.ASC for ./slackware/xap/mozilla-firefox-1.5-i686-1.tgz.asc (mozi lla-1.7.12-i486-1.tgz.asc) Using MOZIL001.TGZ for ./slackware/xap/mozilla-firefox-1.5-i686-1.tgz (mozilla- 1.7.12-i486-1.tgz) mkisofs: No such file or directory. Unable to open disc image file This is the command I'm running. Everything is in c:\slackware, including the slackware, isolinux, kernels, etc... C:\slackware>mkisofs -o /temp/slackware.iso -R -J -V "Slackware Install" -hide-r r-moved -v -d -N -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 32 -boot-info-table -sort isolinu x/iso.sort -b isolinux/isolinux.bin -c isolinux/isolinux.boot -A "Slackware Inst all CD" . Any help on why I receive that error would be great! The iso.sort and isolinux.bin files are both in the isolinux directory, and I have a temp dir on the root of the c: drive. Thanks! |
Hi
I guess you want to install slack and are trying to create a bootable CD of slackware current. If this is your desired goal I think you are making things a bit more complicated then they need to be. Might I suggest that you download the first CD iso of slack 10.2, install that, and then upgrade to current using swaret or slapt-get. If you are trying to do something else and my response are of no use I appologize... Good Luck! |
