Question Enabling device locking up on boot

Hi,

I'm attempting to install Slackware 9.1 on my laptop, the installation goes ok but when i try to boot gets to the following line and then it just locks up, the only way to get out of it is the reset button:

PCI: Enabling device 00:0c.0 (0000 -> 0002)

Any ideas?
Thanks,
Matt.

Hello,

well, I don't really know, but there may be a problem with ACPI. Try to boot with the parameter "acpi=off".

Hello,

mmh, next you may try to boot without APIC-support. Sorry, I don't know the correct syntax, maybe "noapic", but I'm not sure.
