Chainloading from grub to LILO
 

I recently received Slackware 12.0 by subscription and I would like to keep Fedora and chainload Slackware from my existing grub. Is installing LILO to partition an option?

I seem to remember trying this with 11.0 and finding it wasn't possible.

When you get to the bootloader setup in the Slackware installation, there should be an advanced option that allows you to install LILO to the root partition rather than the MBR. You may need to look for "advanced options" or similar at this step.

I know it is possible, and not too difficult. I did it myself shortly after Slack 12 was released, but now I can't remember exactly.
