can not get either email or websites

I have Sacked almost. Everythink seemed to go well.

I installed 14.1 from the DVD
no issues but also no web. I get a consisent error message: "no common encrypton algorithm. Error code: Cleaned up the textssl_error_no_cypher_overlap"

Also,no email some security issue with my username and password at Google. I believe that the problem has a simple answer, but I cannot see what is missing.

Thanks;

Looks like you're short of some encryption lib, or the system can't see it.

14.1 is a bit old; In fact 14.2 (which came after) is old by standards, and 15.0 has been delayed by the various travails of the Slackware BDFL. If you're not familiar with that abbreviation, use the console program 'wtf'

it is recommended to install almost everything the first time and I suspect that may not have happened?

OP accidentally double posted. There's a lot more discussion on this topic on the other thread.
