Can't get my videocard to match my screen

Did post this question a couple of days ago in 'Hardware', but little ( no ) response there, and I AM having a headacke..

( http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...talled-730238/ )

Computer: -> Celeron
Grafix card: Nvidia Geforce2 MX/MX 400
Screen : Acer 16" wide ( 1366x768 . No really )

Stock standard fresh installation of
Slackware 12.2, KDE 3.5, full installation, Hugesmp kernel etc etc.

On windows it worked great. No problems at all with the miniature height vs width.

Where is the bottleneck? driver? Xorg.conf? Videocard? Kernel? Monitor?

Anyone, please!

You have to define a ModeLine for that resolution. Here is a link you can start from:

But you'll need to be careful: if you create a resolution your screen can't handle, there's a chance you may permanently damage it.
