Can't boot Slack 10 CD but Windows 2000 CD does boot?

Hi,

I downloaded slackware 10 from linuxiso.org I burnt it correctly and when I restart to install from CD it fails and boots into windows.
So I pulled out my windows 2000 CD to see if it would boot from CD and it booted into the installation process.

So I figured I would just make a boot disk for slack 10.
rawrite> bare.i A:\

I restarted will the floppy in the drive and it doesn't boot. It just continues to go into windows. (And I did check the BIOS boot settings).

So I remembered that slack 8 installed fine on this computer back in the day. So I made a boot disk for slack 8
rawrite> bare.i

and I restart, this time it says LI . I did format the floppies. And I tried several different ones, which are new.

HELP I just want to install slackware 10

did you read the $README files in the /rootdisk and /bootdisk
directories???

they tell you how to make the boot floppies needed to install the Loader and
then you can use the CD's to install the programs.............

If I'm not mistaken.

open up rawrite

rawrite> bare.i a:

go to rootdisks

rawrite> install.1 a:
rawrite>install.1 a:

a new floppy for each one.

that is what i did. and yes i am suppose to use bare.i
