Booting in blind mode in laptop with elilo and uefi. Its a three boot computer
I have a laptop with linux in origin.
After dual booting, averything worked and now I had two working OSes. Tried to install Slackware and succeeded, but it gives the following error: "no suitable video mode found Booting in blind mode" Any hints? Anybody has had the same problem? |
What bootloader are you using for Slackware? The short answer is add nomodeset as a kernel option to the linux boot menu line.

It seems [SOLVED]
Hi colourpurple21859,
I have grub2 as boot loader. It seems that editing /etc/default/grub and enabling graphical terminal, which was disabled by default in debian, my main OS, and/or setting GRUB_GFXMODE to a lesser resolution in slackware's /etc/default/grub did the trick |
That is good that you figured it out
