9.1 install on 3 striped drives

Hi,
I've got a Promise Fasttrack TX2 card with 3 striped drives on it. I've got XP running on a 100gb partition, and want to use the other 20 for Slack. Fasttrack says I have a 3+0 Span config; cfdisk says Fatal Error, and I can't figure out the device name using fdisk (/dev/hda?; /dev/rd/..., etc). How can I get Slack to recognize my drives/partitions, or if they've already been detected, how do I know how they're labeled so that I can partition them?
Thanks in advance.
Matt

i have an ite8212 raid card, with 3 striped 80gb drives on it, it is /dev/sda on my system, but i had to add support in my kernel for it.

Forgot to mention I'm a newbie! How do I add support in the kernel?
