3 boot options

First of all I want you to know I'm an absolute beginner with Linux. I want to make a configuration so at startup I can choose from Windows XP, Windows 98 and Slackware 10. Before i installed win 98 i have run fdisk from the floppy. I made a primary partition and an extended one. The extended one has two logical drives that use all the space (so primary+extended=all the space). Now, can i delete one of them and create the partitions for Linux? pls help, thx:)

You can delete either or all of them and make new ones. But be sure that there is no important data.

I would suggest that you make 3 primary partitions and an extended partition. Within the extended partition you can make more partitions, say, for swap or for other OSs.

You mean you want to define the partition type in PQ Magic ? Don't, just create some empty space for slackware.
Make the partitions during you slackware setup (when you run cfdisk)
