Unhappy 2 Slackware - 2 HD

Hello everybody.

I' ve installed SLACKWARE 9.0 and LILO on my MASTER HD second partition - I mean /dev/hda2. But now I tried to install SLACKWARE 7.0 (on /dev/hdd2). Everything was ok during the installation process, I did not try to intall LILO this time, because I ' ve already installed LILO on /dev/hda2.

I uptated lilo.conf with the following lines
#slack 7 begin
#in SLACKWARE 7 the image is at / not at /boot
image = /mnt/hdd2/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hdd2
label = SLACKWARE-7.0
read-only
#slack 7 end

Something is wrong here, because lilo shows me some erros messages...
something like - warning: maybe disk 0x83 not accesible - I don't remember the exact words now, sorry.

I tried a diferent boot metod. I copied the SLACKWARE 7 -vmlinuz- to the /boot
directory of my SLACKWARE 9 partition and renamed it to vmlinuz7. After this, i updated my lilo.conf with the following lines

#slack 7 begin
#in SLACKWARE 7 the image is at / not at /boot
image = /booy/vmlinuz7
root = /dev/hdd2
label = SLACKWARE-7.0
read-only
#slack 7 end

OK! SLACKWARE 7 boots! but It shows lots of error messages about not finding the KERNEL MODULES,
WHAT IS GOING ON!? COULD YOU PLEASE HELP ME TO CONFIGURE MY lilo.conf?
thanks for you time!

Re: 2 Slackware - 2 HD

Looking at your first lilo entry I noticed this:

I think what you need to do is change that entry to read /boot/vmlinuz

That part is fine, but change the root to /dev/hdd2

root = /dev/hdd2

and then move your kernel back to /boot on that drive (not the Slack 9 partition).
So you would have this:

image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hdd2
label = SLACKWARE-7.0
read-only
