OpenJDK in Slackware on RPI3
Hello all,
I've just installed Slackware-current on my RPI3 and am trying to install the OpenJDK but for the life of me cannot figure out how. I can't find an arm OpenJDK anywhere, I'm seeing openjdk for i486 and x86_64, and other RPI distros seem to have arm versions in their repositories, but no arm here http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slackbuilds/openjdk/
Can someone point me in the right direction? I can't seem to find the magic keywords to bring up anything useful with google

Sorry, missed the "Open" prefix. I have no clue about any prebuilt packages for ARM, maybe someone else could help.

I built OpenJDK once by modifying alienBOB's scripts:
ftp://ftp.arm.slackware.com/slackwar...ource/openjdk/
I don't know if they're any use now since they're from 2013.
I don't know of anybody who has packaged the current versions and makes them available for ARM though. You'll probably need to do that yourself.

Yes, I had considered building it but from what I had determined it would take quite a while to build on an RPI.
Seems strange to me that it's so hard to come by for Slack.
Anyway, I ended up installing Devuan to stay away from SystemD. When work isn't so busy, I might try try working out the details for Slack. Thanks for the input

It's open source. I feel like the consumption:feedback ratio is something like 95%:5%
So thanks to the 5% :-)
