MZHOU PCIe SATA Card 2 Port - PCI Express SATA 3.0 GEN3 Expansion Card - 6 Gbp/s SATA Controller Expansion Cards with Low-Profile Bracket (C

Hello

The MZHOU PCIe SATA Card 2-port PCIe SATA controller has been stable for a few months now with heavy I/O workloads, so it's been added to the RockPro64 installation guide.

I removed the bracket on my 2 port for rockpro64, it kind of wobbles so I stay away from it.

The rockpro64 on the left, is mounted with some long screws on small piece plexiglas.

quad port? Cool!

What's the machine on the right?

You know, this probably sounds stupid but at no point until just now has it occurred to me to put my RockPro64 into a normal PC case - I was planning on getting another Pine64 NAS case and using a separate ATX PSU. However, PC cases are cheaper than the Pine64 NAS case (by the time you add shipping and customs) and everything is neater and self contained.
Does your PC case have USB ports built into the case, and did you just plug them into the USB port on the RockPro64?

I went window shopping for some PC cases, then it occurred to me how I'd go about connecting the case's power button to the board. Hmm.

machine on the right was the now retired banana pi pro, there's another rockpro64 in its place

have a few old pc cases lying about, cleaned couple out and repurposed

when I need to I just flip the psu on or off using its switch, need to wait for drives to power up, then plug in rockpro

using 7 port powered usb hub for left rockpro64

attached what I've been be running the past year or so, most important part of the whole install, top center, usb hub rear center of rockpro

using hdmi to vga connected to two port switch box connected to old vga lcd
