Ho-ho-ho! 'Tis the season to be jolly. Merry Christmas you all. I hope you have a wonderful time and Santa brings you nice things. Like Jaffa cakes and ARM devices you're planning to run Slackware on!
The first
SARPi.co.uk 'Slackware ARM on a Raspberry Pi' installer images and system packages are available, just in time for Christmas! So, you can have lots of festive fun installing and running Slackware on your Raspberry Pi's.
The latest SARPi builds use kernel 4.9.70 and you can download them from:
http://sarpi.co.uk/index.php?p=downloads
NB: Just a couple of things to note:
1.) The filename TAG of the SARPi Project installer image archives and packages has been changed to '_sp1' to show that we created them. We plan to use this TAG for all future Slackware ARM related releases.
2.) The
SARPi Projects packages still carry the TAG '_fd0' because they were built by fatdog.eu and these probably won't be updated until after the release of Slackware 15.
Have fun with it. Above all, have a great Christmas everybody!
Q. Why does Rudolph the reindeer have a bright red nose?
A. Because he would look silly if his nose was blue!
Q. Why did the snowman take so long to buy carrots?
A. He was wasting time while picking his nose.
Sing this to the tune of "Jingle bells".
Code:
Slackware ARM. Slackware ARM. Slackware all the way...
Oh what fun it is to type at command prompt every day-AAAYYY...
