Glibc for rpi3

Hi all,

Did someone tried to recompile Glibc to optimize the performances ?

Does it worth the extra work ?

Would it be shareable ?

Could it be done on a qemu guest ?

Any advice on one of these questions would be much apreciate !

Regards

The RPi3 supports 32- and 64-bit computing in the CPU. However, Slackware-ARM is currently 32-bit only.

If you're interested in speeding up the floating-point code in glibc, I have an article here explaining how to re-compile glibc to use the VFP floating-point in Slackware-ARM. GCC for ARM does detect the CPU's capabilities reasonably well, including which floating-point coprocessor is available.
