CVE-2016-5195 when do we get a fix ?
When do we get a fix for the dirtycow thing ? or was it fixed somewere in the 4 kernels ?
I can't get the exploit to work on kernel 4.4 ... but that may just mean I'm doing something wrong. |

On Slackware's changelog it says that 4.4.29 fixes but I failed to find the equivalent on https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/ker...angeLog-4.4.29 *and I looked both for CVE, COW and copy on write.
Maybe it was in a previous kernel release that did not make it into slackware's patches ? maybe 4.4.26 ? |

You're right that it's v 4.4.26 that contained the fix originally, and is commented in its change log. |
Yes I looked in the x86_64 changelog only after your suggestion. Before that I admit I only looked on kernel's 4.4.29 changelog and not finding any mention in there I was afraid my Slackware boxes were vulnerable. ;)
