Can''t connect to rpi3, slackware installation image by Fatdog

Hello all! I am installing slackware by this manual. I don't have any monitors to connect to my RPI3. I mounted /dev/sdb1 and added kbd=us nic=auto:eth0:dhcp to cmdline.txt applying to note in Installing without a screen/monitor. OK, I inserted my SD card to Raspberry and powered on it. I waited ~1 minute and tryed to connect by ssh:
Code:
reedych $ ssh root@192.168.0.102
ssh: connect to host 192.168.0.102 port 22: Connection refused
I think that "Connection refused" because I have not configured .sshd_config?

Usually this works without a problem. I'll do some testing later today, and get back to you.

<edit> No, you should not have to configure .sshd_config for this to work.

Yeah! I have been installed slackware on my RPI3! I tryed all of manuals and all of that didn't worked. So I have been installed raspbian to SD card, booted it, turned off it (it's needed). After that I did "rm -rf <all of dirs in / except of boot/> and copyed slackware miniroot. So, need to configure .sshd_config and go! But thanks to all!

I really need to thank you Reedych. I don't know how or why this became a problem but you've highlighted an error I wasn't aware of. Afaik this didn't used to be a problem but it certainly is now! Dropbear wasn't starting and that's the reason why you couldn't log-in remotely via ssh on your RPi3's Slackware ARM setup. I tested with the same image as you did and found the same error(s): 'ssh: connect to host 192.168.10.143 port 22: Connection refused'

This has now been fixed and the new Slackware ARM installer image is available from the SARPi3 downloads page. You should find that this image works as expected. I've tested it before uploading and found no more problems.

Thanks once again. Have a wonderful Slackware ARM experience. :>
