zoom-linux 5.11.10.4400

I just installed this version of zoom-linux 5.11.10.4400 on slackware 15.0

https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...rch=zoom-linux

everything went fine during the installation but the application does not start.
I tried to strace it but I did not see anything that can help me to
find what is wrong.

Replaced with with older version 5.9, it works on both
slackware 15.0 and 14.2.

Does anybody know what is the issue. I saw various people having
problem with the previous version of zoom-linux 5.10 on different distributions

I found the problem.
I run it as root just to check the installation, it does not like that ...
Previous version did not care if the user was root or not.

Thanks

zoom-linux 5.11.10.4400 is working as expected on 15.0 here as well. Maybe try with a fresh account to see if its something saved in your users dotfiles from an older version?

NVM it looks like you solved it just as I posted.

Version 5.12.0.4682 has just been released. Haven't tested it in a real meeting yet.

I've only used Zoom once, a couple of years ago.
What I thought was clever was the ability to change the background. So, a question comes to mind, is it possible to do that with the Linux version?

I could not get it to work last (academic) year on a Thinkpad X220 (i5 with integrated intel graphics). The Zoom help page below suggests you need an actual green screen...

This academic year we are on MS teams. Still getting my head around that one. Good luck.
