I run zipslack 8.1 My cd-rom doesn't read any cds. What should i do? Install some drivers? Recompile the kernel? I use TEAC CD-W58E. Please give me advice.

What errors do you get when you try to mount them?

You may have to mount the devices properly as the symlink may not exist:
mount -t iso9600 /dev/hdc /mnt/cdrom
