when i first login i get that message. anyway i can see that mail from the command line?

mail? really!

thank you for your reply. your a genius! worked just fine.can you tell me what the lines mean?

"N 1 To root Thu Aug 9 13:28 44/1602 Register with the Linux counter project"

? 1=first mail date time ? message body

thanks Didier and eyeofliberty for your replies. mail #1...I was counted . #2 well that is one long email! full of lots of good stuff!
I didnt think about using the man page thanks
