Xvidcap on Slackware
I am trying to create a clear video to upload on youtube. I downloaded xvidcap and ran the following commands
./configure
make
make install
When i run xvidcap i see this error.
removing common factors from framerate
Compiler did not align stack variables. Livavcodec has been miscomplied and may be very slow or crash. This is now a bug in Libavcodec but in the computer.
How do i fix this error?
Next question is how do i configure xvidcap so that the video will be clear when i upload to youtube.
thanks

Maybe start by getting a xvidcap package from Alien Bob's repository.

hi diego, this thread is five years old and xvidcap hasn't updated since 2008 so it's very difficult that it will run on today's slackware installations.
try with ffmpeg
Code:
ffmpeg -video_size 1366x768 -framerate 12 -f x11grab -i :0.0+0,0 -b:v 1000k output.ogv
https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/How%20t...0with%20FFmpeg
and please don't resurrect old threads: time changes things and what is appliable 5 years ago isn't now, open a new one.
