xterm prompt disappeared
today ,i install the sw10.2,and change the LC_CTYPE to GB2312 ,and then, i found the bash prompt in the xterm disappeared when i use fvwm2. just a test ,i install simsun font from windows and change the LC_CTYPE back to en_US,then ,start fvwm2 again,open xterm,typing "xterm -fa simsun -cjk_width" in it ,still could not see bash prompt,did u anybody meet the problem ever? do me a faver please!

Not 100% sure what you mean, about the fonts and xterm... Is it when in fvwm2 you do not get the bash prompt? Prior to Xwindows do you get a prompt?
If you are using the Korn Shell you should get $ as a normal user and # as root.
if you type 'echo $PS1' you should get what the prompt should be for your current user and shell.
you can change it by PS1='# '
etc...
not sure if this helps

when i use locale en_US ,i can get the xterm prompt # as root in xwindows,but if i change the locale ,i miss the # or $,nothing in the xterm! did i say it clearly ?

It may be an issue with unicode support, which is disabled by default in Slackware. To enable it, see here:
