yes, it runs fine here (no issues) in other modes.

uhuh, i cant run it in full-screen GL mode and when i change (to any)video mode. that happened ever since i upgraded X server to X11 6.9.0.

Maybe there's something wrong with your X package then if ZSNES worked perfectly prior to the X upgrade. For the record, I'm running xorg 7.0.

ZSNES works perfectly for me with or without the composite extension enabled.

I am currently switching back to 6.8.2. I will let you know the result later if i can get away with these problems after reverting to slack's default X version.
