Hi!
I would like to add the screensavers used in the Fedora, etc
distributions...with the text quotes and jokes, with the xscreensavers
used in Slackware. Are those also xscreensavers? Is there any way to
do this?

It's been a while since I used Fedora, but, as I recall, it defaults to Gnome. The Gnome screensaver is a completely different program. Though many of the screensavers look the same, they were coded separately from xscreensaver.
